Canada to Key West
An estimated 1 in 4 people live with a disability.
Extreme heat and cold, flooding, hurricanes, and fires are increasing in frequency. Persons with disabilities are most vulnerable to extreme weather events. We are walking from Canada to Key West to spotlight the need to work together with our families and friends to address these dangers.
We share a passion for the earth and believe all of us must work collaboratively to address extreme weather, the effects of our unsustainable life styles, the ongoing massive loss of species, and climate change.
Inadequate attention is paid to the current and future impacts of these issues on persons with disabilities. With your
help we will change this.
